Blind parents feel baby’s ultrasound thanks to 3d printing

A blind Brazilian couple’s creative thinking has allowed them to experience their baby’s first ultrasound via 3d printing.

Liamsmom is the mother of seven-year-old Liam, who is deaf-blind.
She was determined to think of ways to make the experience of going to a grocery store possible, enjoyable, and meaningful – which for the most part had proven difficult.

Braille menu goes viral

A young woman tweeted an image of her sister who was given a menu for the first time in her life — at 18-years-old. What was even more surprising was how the tweet went viral with 64,000 re-tweets and 220,000 likes by people who were touched by the picture. Some expressed their surprise at braille menus not being more commonplace and others realising there own privilege for not having to think about this when they go to restaurants.

A glance at the future of external vehicular sound 

The advent of Electric Vehicles has brought a myriad of benefits. Pedestrians seem to be the only ones caught in the crossroads, as the lack of an engine sound in said vehicles has proven to be an ever-growing risk.

In order to address this issue, several countries have passed regulations and guidelines which mandate that all EVs must emit a form of sound when driving at slower speeds (this is not an issue at higher speeds, as the sound of wind and tires is present).
