A fun and interactive 6 week course for those interested in learning how to write modern poetry.
Join fellow writers who are blind or have low vision as we explore this interesting writing style.
Over the 6-week course, we will cover:
- Current and popular forms of poetry
- Deciding on a theme
- Elements of modern poetry practice
- Drafting and editing
- Poetry performance
- Getting published
You will also have the opportunity to share practical tips and tricks used to write, edit and record your work using assistive technology and learn different strategies to move into the broader writing community in your local area.
Please note that you will need to have a good level of skill with any assistive technology you may require to help you write and edit your work as part of this course.

This series can be funded through your NDIS plan, My Aged Care or privately funded. Please contact us if you would like to know how to arrange funding.
